According to leaks, Marvel Rivals will have at least 4 new maps and 14 characters released throughout 2025, starting with Season 1.
Marvel Rivals Leaks Reveal Upcoming Content
As the first competitive season of Marvel Rivals is approaching fast, the developers are busy preparing tons of content for the millions of fans of the game. And according to some recent leaks, we may see as many as three new maps and a whopping 14 characters in the upcoming weeks.
The information comes from X0X_Leak on Twitter/X. The account has been sharing tidbits but by combining them with other sources, we have a list of the newest heroes that will join the roster sometime in the next few months:

- Deadpool
- Captain Marvel
- Emma Frost
- Phoenix/Jean Grey
- Valkyrie
- MODOK
- The Hood

When we add these characters to ones that have already been leaked in previous posts, we will be getting a total of 14 new ones over the next months. These also include Blade and Ultron, as well as the entire Fantastic Four crew – Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and The Thing.
In addition to these heroes, the Marvel Rivals devs have seemingly prepared four new maps for the game. These are called Krakoa, Arakko, New York, and Thebes.

When Are These Features Coming?
Unfortunately, the leaker has not revealed details on when these new maps and heroes will be added to the game. However, we are pretty certain that they will be spaced out throughout the year, rather than being a huge one-time content dump.
Considering there are allegedly four upcoming maps, we think that we’ll receive one map per season throughout the year. If we consider each season lasts three months, then 2025 will have four seasons, each one introducing one map and at least two new playable characters.
That being said, it won’t be too surprising if we receive more information on other heroes joining the Marvel Rivals roster. There are many others to add, such as all of the core Avengers, and many more mutants. In conclusion – expect these maps and heroes to be released in a regular order throughout the year, rather than in one huge clump at once.
What we do know almost certainly is that Squirrel Girl will get a new skin at the start of Season 1. It will allegedly arrive on January 29, so less than a month away from now.
