After the launch of the latest Marvel Rivals update on May 9, 2025, we were hit by the first wave of amazing summer content for the game, and if all the speculations and rumors around are true, there is a lot more to come.
Summer Special Krakoa Resort Skins
To start things up, there are the first two Summer Special skins from the Krakoa Resort, which are Sunshine Squirrel Girl and Rocket Sunshine Racoon. For now, they are both in a bundle; you can claim them for 3000 units! If you decide to get the offer, you will save yourself a total of 1000 units, which is a good deal as Rocket Sunshine Racoon is a Legendary skin. Of course, there is an option to purchase them separately, so here is what to expect from each of them:

Rocket Sunshine Racoon
For now, the top-tier strategist is the star of the Summer Special skins as he is the first Legendary skin from the line-up. Like every other skin from that tier, you will get all the sweets and goodies in one place: a unique animated nameplate and character background, trailer with short animation, epic emote, and spray.
All the in-game effects and animations for Rocket will be changed, except when Rocket shoots his healing projectiles and bullets. The animated nameplate is a flex as always, and the MVP screen is longer like every other Legendary skin, but there are no complaints if you are going to watch it game after game. It also teases the upcoming release of Ultron, as in the animation, Rocket is destroying one of his robots. If you want to learn more about the upcoming release of Ultron read below.
If you do not like the Sunshine Squirrel Girl skin, you can purchase Rocket Sunshine Racoon as a standalone offer for 2400 units. Keep in mind that the price is temporary because it is on sale now, as the original is 3300, so you have to be quick.

Sunshine Squirrel Girl
Although the Sunshine Squirrel Girl is an Epic tier skin, it does not stand behind the Rocket Sunshine Racoon. We have to admit designers have done an outstanding job because Doreen Allene Green looks and Tippy-Toe look awesome in that unique Marvel Rivals style.
Alongside the offer here, there will be an emote which, in our opinion, is way better than the one of Sunshine Racoon, considering the fact that it is Rare compared to the Epic of Rocket. Of course, there is the inclusion of a nameplate and a spray again, both in the Rare tier. At last, it is the cool MVP screen animation which looks awesome, as well as it will be best if you can see it at the end of each game you play.
If you decide to snatch on that offer like Tippy-Toe is munching on the nuts Doreen is throwing him, have in mind that it costs 1600 units as a standalone offer. Just like Rocket Sunshine Racoon, the new skin of Squirrel Girl is on sale, and if you miss it, you gotta get it for 2200 units later on.

What Other Marvel Rivals Skins Have Been Confirmed?
Thanks to the leaked images by Miller Ross on the platform X from the pages of Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic #8, we can see the already added Sunshine Racoon and Sunshine Squirrel Girl and two others amongst them. We are talking about The Thing and Jeff the Land Shark. If you are interested in that comic, you can check it out on the website of Marvel Unlimited.
Jeff the Land Shark
Like every other skin of Jeff’s, this one will speak for itself. Like, c’mon, that is the cutest thing that ever lived, he cannot look bad no matter what he wears. There is nothing more yet revealed except the comic, so it is unclear what rarity it will be and all the other goodies that will come with the new skin for our beloved shark.
For now, all we can say is that he will wear a cute Hawaiian shirt with a lei (flower) necklace. If we have to imagine, it will be awesome if they make his healing balloons to have a cocktail inside, or if Jeff leaves a small trail of petals behind when he walks. One thing is for sure, tough, and it is that we are going to get him as soon as he is in the shop!

The Thing
Just like Jeff the Land Shark, here we still have no other information about the new upcoming skins, except what they will look like in-game. The Thing mains will adore that skin because it looks both goofy and cool. Just imagine smashing things up all around with the big, massive orange rock, wearing only swimming pants and a flower necklace. Wouldn’t that be so fun? If the designers aim to include the ukulele that The Thing carries around in the comic in the actual skin, it will ramp up even more the value of it.

The Upcoming Release of Ultron
The new hero Ultron is riding the summer wave towards us as he will be added in-game on 30 May 2025. Marvel Rivals have decided to cement that theory by adding a Sub-Ultron robot, which Rocket blows up. All we know for now is that his role will be a strategist and all his abilities. He will introduce a new in-game mechanic, as almost all of his abilities will summon drones. From what it seems, they will have an HP bar, and enemies can shoot them.

It is unclear how much he will heal with them, but Ultron will be a solid pick in low elo ranks, as players there will struggle to destroy the drones in time. But that does not mean it will be bad and in high ranks because summoning that many drones opens up the saturation where you have to take them down and not focus on your enemy team. He will fly just like Iron Man, and if we follow the canon and story, he will have a team ability with him, but we have to wait and see for that.
